New Message Board/Moderators Wanted.

This site is now sharing a message board with our sister website. The new board should be easier and more fun to use. Now you can make your posts as personalized as you want to. You can include emoticons , personal icons, your photo, a custom signature, and your own voice recording. The recording can be made while you're online by using your computer's built-in microphone. You can also include a profile for readers of your messages to learn more about you and your interests. By using html codes you can modifying your text style, size and color. You can also use html to insert email and site links, and to create various specal effects. If you don't know html you may want to use ezcodes, which is an abbreviated, easier to use version of html.

Another message board change: you no longer have to register before posting messages. By registering your user name, however, you will be able to post on more message boards and will have more options for making posts. Registering will also prevent others from using your name to post messages.

This message board will use moderators (or hosts) to assist the webmaster with specific forums. A moderator regularly checks on his or her forum to make sure it's running smoothly, to answer questions, to delete inappropriate posts, and to do various adminstrative tasks. If you'd like to serve as a moderator, you'll need to register a user name and then email the webmaster. Include your user name, real name, home address, phone number, the name of the forum you want to moderate, and the name of any Decibels member or the webmaster who will serve as a reference.

April/May 2000

April 28. The Decibels will be opening for Jake's Blues Band beginning at 7pm at Forward Hall, 2502 Peach St., Erie, PA. Ph: 814/455-8231. $5 cover.

February/March 2000

February 19. The Decibels will be giving a birthday bash performance for the band's bass player Ralph Reitinger from 8:30pm-midnight. The band will be playing music from their latest CD. 1000 French Cafe, 25 E. 10th St., Erie, PA. No cover charge. Ph:814/454-6896.

March 11. The Decibels will be playing music from their latest CD beginning at 2pm at Media Play, 6857 Peach St., Erie, PA. Ph: 814/864-5838.

March 31.The Decibels, will be playing songs from their latest CD from 8:30pm-midnight at the 1000 French Cafe, 25 E. 10th St., Erie, PA. No cover charge. Ph:814/454-6896.
